Step-By-Step Guide Recruitment Process of the Philippine Coast Guard

STEP 1 : Meet the Qualifications
For Officers:
  • Filipino Citizen
  • With Good Moral Character
  • Single
  • 21 - 24 Years Old
  • At Least 5'0" in Height
  • Graduate of Any Four-Year Course
  • Civil Service Eligible (with 82% and above exam rating)
  • Licensed Professional
  • Physically and Mentally Fit
  • Pass the PCG Aptitude Battery Test 
For Non-Officers:
  • Filipino Citizen
  • With Good Moral Character
  • Single
  • 18 - 26 Years Old
  • At Least 5'0" in Height
  • Has Earned at least 72 Units or;
  • Senior High School and TESDA Graduate
  • Physically and Mentally Fit
  • Pass the PCG Aptitude Battery Test 
STEP 2: Submit the Initial Requirements

Upon meeting the aforementioned qualifications, You can now proceed to the next step- Submission of Initial Requirements. Submit the following documents to the nearest PCG district to schedule your PCG Aptitude Battery Test (ABT).

Here are the Initial Requirements:
  • PCG ABT Application Form
  • Personal Information Sheet
  • PSA Birth Certificate
  • Transcript of Records
  • Diploma and/or Tesda Certificate

STEP 3: Take the PCG Aptitude Battery Test

STEP 4: Take the Physical Fitness Test (PFT)

STEP 5: Take the Medical, Dental and Neurological Exams

STEP 6: Undergo Final Deliberation

STEP 7: Join the Oath Taking Ceremony of PCG Trainees
